Triveni Shibir concludes with silent introspection on occasion of Mouni Amavasya

Day 17 – 29 January 2025

Day 4 of the Triveni Shibir coincided with the auspicious Mouni Amavasya. Mouna means silence, and on this night as the new moon makes its appearance, ancestors are commemorated with gratitude and prayers. Silent introspection and spiritual discipline mark this occasion for spiritual rejuvenation and growth. Following Sri M’s guidance, silence was maintained at Yogadham from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. after the morning aarti at Sri Guru Babaji’s shrine and the meditation session.

The participants completed their yoga abhyasa without verbal instructions and paid homage to Sri M upon completion of the Kriya initiation. Helping the volunteers during Sadhu Seva at lunch, tea -time, and dinner at the Annadaanam Seva counter, they experienced the sheer joy of serving our hungry brethren who have traveled from far to participate in the sacred events of the MahaKumbh.

After Dhuni Puja, Sri M explained the significance of silence, extolling the silence of the mind which is achieved when all seeking and striving ceases, and chanted the Shanti Mantra “Poornamadah Poornamidam” to close the evening session.
