The Launch of Kumbh Se Kumbh Tak: A river rejuvenation initiative by TSF

Day 35 – 16 February 2025

During the morning session on 16 February, Kumbh Se Kumbh Tak, a river rejuvenation initiative by The Satsang Foundation was launched by Jal Purush Dr. Rajendra Singh and Sri M alongwith Shri Rajesh Pandit and Shri Chinmay Udgirkar of the Namami Goda Foundation. Dr.Rajendra Singh urged the audience to participate in this vital mission with the rousing cry of Neer, Nari, Nadi – Narayana, linking the people of our vast country to conserve and protect its civilization and precious resources.

Sri M echoed his rallying cry with Swami Vivekananda’s oft-quoted Rig Vedic shlokaAtmano mokshartham jagat hitaya cha” meaning “for the salvation of our individual self and for the well-being of all on Earth”. Waters from the Triveni Sangam were collected to be merged with waters of the River Godavari, called the Dakshin Ganga, taking forward the vision of the Aviral Godavari Mission for a thriving Godavari and for the upcoming Kumbh in 2027 at Nashik to be plastic waste-free.

The much-anticipated Yoga Vasishta Retreat commenced in the afternoon session with participants streaming in steadily since the afternoon despite trying traffic restrictions. Sri M introduced the Yoga Vasistha, sharing a few details of the samvaad between Sage Vasistha and Lord Rama, exploring innumerable questions regarding the individual, the world, and the Truth.
