Sri M lights Akhand Dhuni at Yogadham

Day 2 – 13 January 2025

The afternoon began with a satsang by Sri M, where he blessed the sadhakas with the Guru Mantra, bringing a sense of calm and focus. Sri M spoke about Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras, explaining “Yogas chitta vritti nirodha”—the purpose of yoga as quieting the mind’s fluctuations to reach stillness.

He also recited and explained the mantra :

“Purnamadah Purnamidam
Purnat Purnamudachyate,
Purnasya Purnamadaya
Purnameva Vashishyate.”

This mantra, Sri M shared, reflects the idea of wholeness—that everything in the universe is complete, and through self-realization, we can experience that completeness within.

Sri M described how the practice of Kriya balances Prana in the Ida and Pingala nadis, guiding the energy through the Sushumna nadi to the Sahasrara, enabling seekers to realize the essence of Purnata (completeness). He clarified that Kriya has no restrictions on visiting spiritual places or following ongoing practices but advised sadhakas to avoid alcohol and intoxicating substances to maintain balance.

After this satsang, Sri M lit the Akhand Dhuni, the sacred fire of the Nath Sampradaya as the Purusha, Medha, Shri, Durga, and Narayana Suktas were chanted. This marked a powerful moment of connection to the Nath tradition and its practices.Mesmerizing classical dances commenced with Saint Tulsidas’ composition in praise of Lord Ganesha, the most popular composition Shiva Shambho, and concluded with Shivashtakam. These vibrant renderings added a joyous and celebratory note  to the close of the day.
