Day 28 – 9 February 2025
Behind the seamless experience of living at Yogadham during the Maha Kumbh is a hardworking housekeeping team that keeps everything in order. From cleaning rooms, common spaces, the dining hall, and kitchen to ensuring hot water for baths and laundering common linen, they do it all.
Common areas are cleaned 3–4 times a day, while room cleaning happens between 12 noon and 3 p.m. Waste management is also a priority, with plastic recycling bins placed strategically in partnership with Bisleri and temple flowers composted for sustainability.
Of course, maintaining cleanliness in a temporary structure comes with its own challenges. Staff shortages are common, plumbing issues pop up due to structural overload, and sometimes, guests forget that this isn’t a hotel! Yet, the team works tirelessly, ensuring that Yogadham remains clean and welcoming for all.
A total of 17 people make up the housekeeping crew—eho win the morning, 8 in the afternoon, and 5 at night. Their dedication keeps Yogadham running smoothly, allowing everyone to focus on their spiritual journey without worrying about the little things.
