Intense yoga abhyasa, annadaanam seva, and a dip in Triveni Sangam mark Day 3 of BYK Alumni Retreat

Day 8 – 20 January 2025

The day began with the chanting of mantras from the newly launched Mantra book, followed by the daily aarti, and a meditation session.

After a short break, participants engaged in an hour of yoga asanas, followed by a wholesome breakfast. Another hour-long yoga asana session took place after the participants listened to a talk by Sri M recorded during a Teacher Training Course (TTC) at the Bharat Yogavidya Kendra (BYK).

At noon, the participants came together to offer Annadaanam Seva, serving hot khichdi to sadhus, locals, and visitors. This seva will continue for the next 47 days and culminate on Maha Shivaratri

At 2:30 p.m, the alumni group set off for a dip in the Triveni Sangam. The well-organized changing rooms and facilities ensured a comfortable experience. The serene scene at the Sangam was truly enchanting, with families joyfully taking a dip together, faces glowing with smiles, chants filling the air as the sun began to set, and migratory gulls gracefully flying by. The entire moment felt like something out of a storybook. After their dip, everyone returned to the shore looking calm and refreshed and made their way back to Yogadham in silence and feeling grateful to have had this rare opportunity to take a dip in the Triveni Sangam during the Maha Kumbh

The day concluded at 6 p.m. with the Dhuni Puja, the chanting of the Rudram, and a few bhajans.
