Day 5 – 17 January 2025
Day 5 at Yogadham began with mantra chanting, including Guru Stuti, Shiva Panchakshari, the Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra, Rama Taraka Mantra, and the Pranava. Sri M performed the daily aarti at Sri Guru Babaji’s shrine, followed by a session of silent meditation with the participants.
During the yoga session the Bharat Yogavidya Kendra instructor ensured that the participants followed the practice of Sthula Asanas, the Surya Namaskar, and Pranayama in sequence, explaining the do’s and dont’s clearly. The yoga volunteers also helped the participants to refine their practice.
After breakfast, the volunteers bid the participants a warm, joyful farewell and set about preparing for the upcoming retreats at Yogadham. Through the day, Sri M blessed several sadhus from different akhadas as they continued to visit Yogadham. In the evening, after the Dhuni puja at the Yagnyashala, volunteers and a few participants sang some of Sri M’s bhajans from the Voyage album and other soulful renditions in praise of Lord Krishna. An impromptu satsang in Hindi delighted everyone as Sri M narrated his experiences of the Kumbh when he was a young apprentice to his guru Maheshwarnath Babaji concluding a day filled with devotion, reflection, and a sense of togetherness.
