Day 31 – 12 February 2025
As the full moon of Magh Purnima brightened the evening sky on 12 February, participants at Yogadham took part in the Shahi Snan, a cleansing dip in the holy Ganga. This ritual marked an enriching moment on the second day of The Essence of Yoga retreat, which is currently exploring the paths of Karma and Jnana Yoga.
The sessions on Karma Yoga focused on performing selfless duties, while Jnana Yoga encouraged a deeper understanding of the truth.
An essential aspect of the success of the Yogadham retreats is the comprehensive support provided by the medical team, combining the best of both Allopathic and Ayurvedic practices. Led by Dr. Priya Kalahasti, Dr. Kavita Narayanan, and Dr. Seema Bendre for Allopathy, and supported by ArogyaM’s Ayurvedic experts Sujatha, Dr. Nikhila, with on-ground assistance from Yohan and Raghu.
This integrated medical approach provides preventive and curative care alongside health advisories. It has benefited numerous participants arriving from afar, helping them adapt to the new environment and recover from the fatigue of long travels. Visiting specialists in Gastroenterology and ENT from Tumkur and Bangalore, available for two days, ensured that specialized care was also readily accessible.
Working tirelessly round the clock, our medical team’s dedication is a testament to Yogadham’s commitment to holistic well-being, enabling participants to fully engage without being unduly concerned with health issues. As the participants continue to navigate the teachings of yoga, the dedicated support of the medical professionals exemplifies the essence of Karma Yoga.
